2. Introduction, classification system and terminology

3. 14th and 15th centuries: old master prints; Andrea Mantegna and Martin Schönhauer; movable-type printing press; illustrated books, paper and ink.

4. 16th century: Albrecht Dürer and Marco Antonio Raimondi

5. 17th century: Rembrandt van Rijn and Jacques Callot

6. 18th century: William Hogarth and Giovanni Battista Piranesi

7. Francisco de Goya.

8. 19th century: techniques, eau-forte moderne and le belle épreuve; the painters-engravers: Edouard Manet and Edgar Degas; lithographic posters: Jules Chéret, Eugène Grasset, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec and Alphonse Mucha; Japanese woodblocks: Mary Cassatt.
